Easter Bunny Crochet Mug


Hop, hop, hop! Spring is finally here and today, I’m celebrating by sharing another festive mug. This little Easter Bunny crochet mug is easy to make and is sure to brighten your day and your play kitchens. I hope you enjoy this new crochet mug and that you love playing with it this springtime. Materials:

  • 3mm hook 
  • Light purple, brown, pink, and white yarn. I used light (3) acrylic yarn.
  • Stuffing material
  • Scissors
  • Needle
  • Stitch marker

Finished size:

Approx. 7cm tall by 11cm wide (including handle).

Mug:

Round 1: In purple, 6 sc in a magic circle. (6)

Round 2: Inc around. (12)

Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) repeat around. (18)

Round 4: (2 sc, 1 inc) repeat around. (24)

Round 5: (3 sc, 1 inc) repeat around. (30)

Round 6: (4 sc, 1 inc) repeat around. (36)

Round 7: (5 sc, 1 inc) repeat around. (42)

Round 8: (6 sc, 1 inc) repeat around. (48)

Round 9: (7 sc, 1 inc) repeat around. (54)

Rounds 10-16: Sc around. (54)

Round 17: (7 sc, 1 dec) repeat around. (48)

Round 18: (6 sc, 1 dec) repeat around. (42)

Round 19: (5 sc, 1 dec) repeat around. (36)

Round 20: In the front loops only, sc around. Cut off. (36)

Coffee:

Round 1: In brown, 6 sc in a magic circle. (6)

Round 1: In purple, 6 sc in a magic circle. (6)

Rounds 2-18: Sc around. Cut off leaving a long tail for sewing. (6)

Eyes (Make two):

In black, ch 3. Sc in the second ch from the hook, 3 sc in the next stitch, continuing on the other side of the chain, sc in the next stitch, slip stitch in the first sc to create an oval. Tie off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Ears:

In purple, ch 10. Sc in second ch from hook, sc in the next stitch, hdc in the next 6 stitches, 3 sc in the last stitch, continuing on the other side of the chain, hdc in the next 6 stitches, sc in the next stitch, slip stitch in the last stitch. Cut off and leave a long tail for sewing.

To assemble: 

-Put stuffing into the mug and stitch the coffee inside the mug in the back loops created in round 20.

-Attach the handle to the side of the mug.

-Attach the ears and the eyes to the mug and add white stitching to create pupils. 

-Stitch in a nose and whiskers and, if desired, a milk swirl using white yarn in the coffee.
