If your little one loves pretend play as much as mine does, this Little Vet Medical Bag free crochet pattern is the perfect handmade addition to their playroom. My toddler recently received a vet play set — but unlike his doctor kit, it didn’t come with a medical bag. So of course… I had to crochet one.
This crochet toy vet bag is designed to match the classic medical bag style, making it the perfect accessory for a veterinary play set. It’s sturdy, roomy enough to hold toy tools, and sized just right for small hands. Whether your child dreams of becoming an animal doctor or simply loves caring for their stuffed animals, this crochet vet bag adds an extra layer of imaginative fun.
In this post, you’ll find the full free crochet pattern to make your own toy veterinary medical bag. It’s a beginner-friendly project, works up beautifully, and makes a thoughtful handmade gift for toddlers and preschoolers who love pretend play.

- Slip stitch (sl st)

- Front Loops Only (FLO)
- Back Loops Only (BLO)
Pattern Note:
Some stitches are worked in the front/back loops only and since we are crocheting on both the right and wrong side it can get confusing. Keep in mind that FLO and BLO are always in relation to you. Therefore, FLO are always the loops closest to you and BLO are always the loops the furthest from you.
