I\u2019ve been having so much fun designing\u00a0mini crochet mugs for Christmas, and my little one has been loving playing with them in his play kitchen. These\u00a0free crochet patterns\u00a0make adorable pretend play accessories, gifts, or seasonal decorations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by the Fair Isle style of our family\u2019s Christmas <a href=\"https:\/\/baublesandyarn.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/04\/my-favourite-christmas-crochet-knitted-patterns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"My Favourite Christmas Crochet &amp; Knitted Patterns\">stockings<\/a>, I designed two festive crochet mugs: one with a classic\u00a0snowflake pattern\u00a0(shared in this post), and one with a\u00a0crochet Christmas tree\u00a0design (available <a href=\"https:\/\/baublesandyarn.com\/index.php\/2024\/12\/08\/christmas-tree-mug-free-crochet-pattern\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Christmas Tree Mug \u2013 Free Crochet Pattern\">here<\/a>). There is no need to join with a slip stitch at the end of each round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-When changing colour, be sure to switch mid stitch. To do so, insert your hook with <strong>Colour A<\/strong> in the stitch before the colour change, yarn over pulling two loops of colour A, then switch colour and yarn over with <strong>Colour B<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-When working with two colours, be careful that your tension is not too tight, especially when changing colours after several stitches.
