These crochet mug patterns are perfect for holiday play, decorating, or gifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by the Fair Isle designs on our family Christmas <a href=\"https:\/\/baublesandyarn.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/04\/my-favourite-christmas-crochet-knitted-patterns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"My Favourite Christmas Crochet &amp; Knitted Patterns\">stockings<\/a>, I created two seasonal crochet mug patterns: one featuring a classic snowflake (available <a href=\"https:\/\/baublesandyarn.com\/index.php\/2024\/12\/08\/christmas-snowflake-mug-free-crochet-pattern\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Christmas Snowflake Mug \u2013 Free Crochet Pattern\">here<\/a>) and this one with a Christmas tree motif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This free crochet pattern is beginner-friendly, quick to make, and a great addition to your crochet play food collection, as holiday decor, or even as an ornament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below you will find the instructions to make this free Christmas tree mug pattern. I used light (3) acrylic yarn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stuffing material<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Needle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stitch marker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Finished size: <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Approx. 8,5cm tall by 9,5cm wide (including handle).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Terms and abbreviations (US Terms):<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chain (ch)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Single crochet (sc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase (inc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decrease (dec)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pattern Notes:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>-This pattern is worked in continuous rounds. There is no need to join with a slip stitch at the end of each round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-When changing colour, be sure to switch mid stitch. To do so, insert your hook with <strong>Colour A<\/strong> in the stitch before the colour change, yarn over pulling two loops of colour A, then switch colour and yarn over with <strong>Colour B<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-When working with two colours, be careful that your tension is not too tight, especially when changing colours after several stitches. If you find that your mug has a strange shape, you may want to carry your yarn.
